Checo is an imbecile. Got what he deserved after screwing CL16. What a jerk! #F1

@jonathan what a moronic move on his part. Man, so irritated right now.

@laimis Absolute fuming! Charles had a poor start, but didn’t deserve that. He has the worst luck from pole.

@jonathan not at all. it was known this was not a good track to have a pole position, especially when you have RBs right behind you. I think he did just as well as he could have done. I am shocked he didn't get wrecked right there and then, actually. Now what is ferrari going to do at the pit, to change that wing or not. The car seems to be doing ok.

@laimis Think they wait to change the wing to see if he can hold track position. If there is a full safety car, they may go ahead, but otherwise I don’t think so. Carlos may get team orders, though, to maximize points for the team.

I mean, is that really necessary? He’s not a jerk. He made a mistake and it cost him heavily in that he’s out of the race and will get no points. Charles is still in it meanwhile and could still get a decent result

He could have ruined someone else’s race. It’s a miracle that Charles didn’t have to retire and he may still get a penalty. It wasn’t a racing incident, it was an irresponsible and aggressive desperate move. So, yeah, he was a jerk.

I think that’s overstating it. It was over-ambitious and definitely Checo’s fault, but again, he paid heavily for it. Having your race ruined through no fault of your own is part of motorsport. Do you feel the same way about everyone who causes a lap 1 crash? That happens a lot as I’m sure you know

Racing incidents happen all the time in the first lap. Again, this wasn’t a racing incident. He did something incredibly foolish. 🤷🏻♂️

Yes, but you’re being harsh on Checo. He’s obviously struggling right now and this is a continuation of that. Yes, it was entirely his fault and again, that happens on lap 1 also where one driver is at fault, where it isn’t a racing incident

🤷🏻♂️ Agree to disagree.
